A series of ridged silver slats, resembling eroded sedimentary rocks, form the pendant of this marvelous necklace by Rey Urban. The pendant is suspended from a silver bar link chain that is part of the original necklace. To make this necklace even better, it comes in its original suede pouch.
Rey Urban (1929-2015) was a Swedish designer based in Stockholm who began working in 1951. Urban trained under the Swedish designer Erik Fleming (1894-1954). Much of his work was produced in Denmark by Age Fausing, as is the case with this necklace. In 1966 he was a founder, along with Claes Giertta and Lars Fleming, of the group “Three Smiths” (Tre Smeader) who jointly exhibited together.
